Alike 2012, 2013 appeared complicated and it became difficult to handle, all appellations included, nevertheless producing a better end result than the previous vintage. We find here, a better balance, even though the wines are less powerful than the best of the 2012 vintage.
Here too, a vintage from a late harvest (harvest in October) after a ‘wheezy’ summer. On top of which, hale, once again, affected both Volnay and Pommard.
